Bag Types Explained
D-shaped die-cut handle punched directly into the bag. Most common type for pharmacies, grocery stores, and retail. Best fabric: 60–80 GSM PP spunbond for standard loads up to 5 kg.
U-shaped handle cut for a wider grip. Popular for supermarkets, vegetable markets, and general retail. Same fabric range as D-cut: 60–90 GSM. Requires slightly more fabric per bag than D-cut due to wider handle cutout.
W-shaped seam gives a gusset for more volume. Used for grocery, apparel, and gift packaging where a box-shaped bag is needed. Best fabric: 70–100 GSM for a clean, sturdy finish.
Sewn or stitched loop handle for premium gifting, apparel, and branded retail bags. Best fabric: 80–120 GSM for strong handle seam strength. Can be BOPP laminated for glossy/matte print finish.

D-cut and U-cut non woven bag fabric starts from ₹85/kg for standard 60–70 GSM PP spunbond grades with competitive wholesale pricing for bulk orders. D-cut bags have a D-shaped handle die-cut punched through the bag face — the bag and handle are one piece, making production faster and cheaper. U-cut bags have a wider U-shaped handle cut for a more comfortable grip. Both use the same 60–90 GSM PP spunbond fabric; U-cut uses slightly more material per bag due to the wider handle opening.
60–70 GSM is the most common choice for standard D-cut carry bags used in pharmacies, grocery stores, and retail (up to 3–5 kg load). For heavier-duty bags serving fruit markets, hardware stores, or grocery stores with loads up to 7–10 kg, use 80–100 GSM for a stronger handle punch-out area.
The standard width for Indian D-cut and U-cut bag machines is 63 inches (160 cm). This is our standard stocked roll width. Custom slit widths from 10 cm to 320 cm are available on 1,000 kg MOQ with ±2 mm slitting tolerance for precise fit to your machine specifications.
Yes. PP spunbond non woven can be printed using rotary screen printing, flexographic printing, or heat transfer printing. For full-colour, glossy/matte finish bags, BOPP laminated non woven fabric (80–100 GSM) is recommended — it accepts high-resolution print with excellent colour fastness. We supply both plain and BOPP laminated grades.
