What non woven fabric is used for wet wipes?
Wet wipes use spunlace (hydroentangled) non woven fabric made from viscose, polyester, cotton or blends. The most common blend for baby wipes is 70% viscose / 30% polyester at 40–50 GSM. Alcohol wipes use 100% polyester. The fabric must be SGS food-contact grade for skin-contact applications.
What is the best spunlace blend for baby wipes?
For baby wipes, we recommend 70% viscose / 30% polyester at 40–50 GSM, or cotton-enriched blend for premium baby wipes. Viscose provides softness and absorbency; polyester provides strength and durability. All our baby wipe substrate is SGS food-contact certified and OEKO-TEX tested.
What GSM non woven is used for alcohol wipes?
Alcohol and antiseptic wipes use 100% polyester spunlace at 40–60 GSM. Polyester is resistant to alcohol and chemical solvents, has low lint, and maintains wet tensile strength when saturated with IPA or ethanol. It does not swell or distort in alcohol-based formulations.
Can you supply wet wipes substrate with embossing?
Yes — we offer custom embossing patterns on spunlace substrate for wet wipes. Common patterns include diamond, hexagonal, dot and custom logo embossing. Embossing improves scrubbing performance for household wipes and aesthetic appearance for premium personal care wipes. MOQ applies for custom embossing.
