Product Education
Non woven interlining fabric is a PP spunbond structural layer bonded into the inner construction of mattresses, garments, furniture and automotive interiors. Unlike decorative outer fabrics, interlining works entirely out of sight — providing dimensional stability, shape retention and padding support to the finished product.
In mattress manufacturing, non woven interlining is quilted to the top panel and border to create a smooth, uniform sleeping surface. It prevents filling migration — the movement of foam, fiber or spring padding that causes uneven wear over time. In furniture, the same fabric lines sofa and chair frames to suppress dust and maintain upholstery shape.
Favourite Fab's non woven interlining is made from 100% polypropylene spunbond using Aditya Birla raw material rated 100/100 — the highest quality tier available in the Indian non-woven supply chain. Consistent GSM tolerance of ±3% ensures uniform machine performance across production runs.

Applications
Quilted to the mattress top panel and border fabric. Prevents fill migration, creates a uniform sleeping surface and improves edge support in spring and foam mattresses.
60–120 GSMFused or sewn into the chest and front panel of suits, blazers and formal jackets. Provides shape retention, prevents roll-back and supports collar and lapel structure.
20–50 GSMBonded to sofa frames, chair backs and cushion interiors. Acts as a dust barrier, shape support layer and padding base in upholstered furniture manufacturing.
40–80 GSMUsed as a backing and structural layer in car headliners and door panel trim. Provides dimensional stability, heat resistance and acoustic dampening.
40–80 GSMHeavy GSM grades used in civil engineering as separation, filtration and drainage layers. High tensile strength and UV stability for road sub-base and slope stabilisation.
80–120 GSMLightweight grades used as inner lining in footwear and as body fabric for disposable caps. Smooth surface, consistent GSM and easy machine processability.

Why Manufacturers Choose Us
FR-treated non woven interlining is self-extinguishing and passes IS 11871. Used in contract furniture, hospitality mattresses and automotive applications where fire safety compliance is mandatory.
Silicone dot coating on the reverse side prevents mattress border fabric from shifting during quilting and in-use. Critical for border panels on pocket spring and memory foam mattresses.
Every production run tested for GSM uniformity, tensile strength MD/CD and elongation before dispatch. Aditya Birla 100/100 rated raw material ensures batch-to-batch consistency that your production line depends on.
Founded 2011, Agra. ISO 9001:2015 certified. Continuous supply to mattress manufacturers, furniture OEMs and garment exporters across India and international markets. MOQ 1 tonne.
Specialty Products
FR-treated interlining using halogen-free additive system. Self-extinguishing performance passes IS 11871 and EN 597 horizontal burn tests. Used in hospitality mattresses, contract upholstery and automotive interiors with mandatory fire compliance requirements.
IS 11871 CompliantSilicone dot-coated interlining for mattress border and quilting applications where fabric-on-fabric slip causes machine jams and uneven stitching. Dot density and pattern configurable. Available in 40–80 GSM.
Silicone Dot CoatingHot-melt adhesive-coated interlining for garment manufacturing. Bonds under heat and pressure to outer fabric layers without stitching. Used in jacket fronts, cuffs and collar stands. Available in 20–50 GSM with single or double-dot adhesive coating.

Frequently Asked Questions
Mattress quilting and top panel applications typically use 60–80 GSM non woven interlining. The border fabric uses 40–60 GSM, often with anti-slip treatment. Heavy-duty orthopaedic and hotel-grade mattresses may use 80–120 GSM for increased firmness and durability. Lighter 30–40 GSM grades are used for pillow inners and quilts. We advise on the right grade once you share your mattress construction specification.
Yes. Favourite Fab supplies FR-treated non woven interlining that is self-extinguishing and complies with IS 11871 (India) and EN 597 (Europe) horizontal burn standards. The FR treatment uses a halogen-free additive system and is applied during manufacturing, not as a surface coating. Available in 40–120 GSM across all standard widths. Certificates available on request.
Woven interlining is made from woven yarns — it is heavier, more expensive and provides a soft drape. Non woven interlining fabric is made by thermally bonding PP fibres — it is lighter, more economical, dimensionally stable and does not fray when cut. Non woven does not distort under heat bonding, making it the preferred choice for high-volume garment and furniture manufacturing. For mattresses, only non woven interlining is used due to its uniform GSM and anti-migration properties.
Yes. Our anti-slip grade uses silicone dot coating on the reverse side of the fabric. This prevents the interlining from shifting during mattress quilting operations and improves traction between layers in the finished mattress. Available in 40–80 GSM in widths of 0.8 m, 1.2 m, 1.6 m and 2.4 m. The dot pattern and density can be configured to your quilting machine specification.
Minimum order quantity is 1 tonne per GSM and width specification. Sample rolls of 5–10 kg are available for machine trials before bulk commitment. Domestic lead time is 7–14 working days. Export orders (FOB Mundra / Nhava Sheva) typically ship within 18–25 days. Repeat orders with standing specifications can be kept on consignment stock arrangements for key accounts.
