What non woven fabric is used in face masks?
A 3-ply surgical mask uses: outer layer PP spunbond (20–25 GSM, hydrophobic), middle meltblown filter (20–25 GSM, BFE ≥98%), and inner layer PP spunbond (soft finish, hydrophilic). We supply all three layers plus elastic and nose wire as a complete raw material kit.
What is meltblown fabric in face masks?
Meltblown is the middle filter layer in surgical and N95 masks. It has microscopic polypropylene fibres with high electrostatic charge that trap bacteria, viruses, and fine particles. BFE (Bacterial Filtration Efficiency) ≥98% for surgical grade; PFE ≥95% for N95/KN95 grade.
What is the difference between 3-ply and N95 mask raw material?
3-ply masks use 3 layers (Spunbond + Meltblown + Spunbond). N95/KN95 masks use 4–5 layers including an additional hot-air-through-bonded inner comfort layer and a higher-grade meltblown with PFE ≥95%. We supply both configurations.
What sizes are available for face mask non woven fabric?
Standard face mask sizes: 175 mm (child/standard) and 195 mm (adult/surgical). Custom widths cut to your die-cut dimensions. Rolls are available for automated mask production lines. Ear loop elastic comes in 3 mm, 6 mm, and flat; nose wire in 3 mm and 5 mm PE-coated.
