17–25 GSM is standard for low tunnel crop covers. 17 GSM for light frost and UV protection. 20–25 GSM for heavier frost protection and longer season use. Heavier GSM = more insulation but less light transmission.
What is UV treated non-woven fabric?
UV treatment adds UV stabilisers (3% loading) to the polypropylene during manufacturing. This slows degradation from sunlight, extending the fabric's outdoor life from a few weeks to 1–3 seasons depending on UV intensity and handling.
