Types of Non Woven Fabric

This form of non woven fabric is primarily made through two processes: the incorporation of fibrous or sticky reinforcement material into the fibre network and the subsequent reinforcement of the network into cloth by heating.

3. Spunbond Non Wovens

Spunbond non woven fabric is manufactured in the following manner: the polymer is extruded and stretched to form a continuous filament, the filament is laid into a web, and the web is then processed into non woven fabric using thermal bonding methods.

4. Meltblown Non Wovens

Melt-blown non woven fabric is made by extruding melted polymer fibre through a linear die with several hundred tiny holes to generate long thin fibres that are stretched and cooled as they exit the linear die, and then blown onto a collector screen to make fine-filtered, self-bond non wovens. Typically, this non woven fabric is combined with spunbond to create S, SS or SMS fabric.
