What are Plastic Waste Management Rules, 2021 ?

There are some rules of handling the plastic waste decided by the Environment, Forest & Climate Change Ministry of Government of India. All of the management process of plastic outcomes was controlled as per these rules. These Rules-Plastic Waste Management Rules, 2016 are amended.

“There would not be use of non woven plastic carry bags less than 60 gram per square metre (GSM) from 1 July 2022. “

What is Banned?

Non woven fabric less than 60 GSM is banned for making non woven carry bags. Let it be D cut type or W cut type or a box bag.

The ban is only for making less than 60 gsm non woven bags, for other uses the less than 60 gsm non woven fabric can be used.
