What Is Low Lint Spunlace Nonwoven

Low lint spunlace nonwoven fabric is engineered to minimise particle and fibre release during wiping. Standard spunlace fabrics shed loose surface fibres when used — acceptable for general wipes but a contamination risk in cleanrooms, optical production and electronics assembly.

Low lint grades use higher hydroentanglement pressure and tighter fibre bonding to lock fibres into the web structure. The result is a fabric that releases far fewer particles per wipe cycle. Fibre choice matters too: 100% polyester is the lowest-lint option; viscose-PET blends offer better absorbency with controlled lint.

Which fibre is better for cleanroom wipes — PET or viscose-PET?+
