Soft, non-plastic feel film used as the backsheet of sanitary pads and period underwear. WVTR-controlled for comfort without fluid leakage.
Adult Incontinence Products
Breathable PE film for adult diapers, incontinence pads and chronically ill care supplies. Higher WVTR grades (4000–5000 g/m²/24h) for extended wear products.
Medical Under-Pads
Used as barrier layer in hospital underpads, wound dressings and post-operative drapes requiring liquid impermeability with moisture vapour transmission.

What is PE breathable film used for?
PE breathable film is primarily used as the backsheet layer in baby diapers, sanitary napkins, adult incontinence products and hospital underpads. It blocks liquid (water, blood) from passing through while allowing moisture vapour to escape, improving comfort and reducing skin irritation.
What does WVTR mean in breathable film?
WVTR (Water Vapour Transmission Rate) measures how much moisture vapour passes through 1 m² of film in 24 hours (g/m²/24h). Our PE breathable film WVTR ranges from 2,000 to 5,000 g/m²/24h tested per ASTM E96-90. Higher WVTR = greater breathability.
What is the difference between breathable and non-breathable PE film?
Breathable PE film has micro-pores (0.1–10 microns) that allow water vapour to pass through but block liquids and bacteria. Non-breathable PE film has no pores and blocks both. Breathable film is used where skin comfort matters (diapers, pads); non-breathable is used for pure liquid barrier applications.
What GSM is PE breathable film available in?
Our PE breathable film is available in 10–40 GSM. Standard diaper backsheet uses 15–18 GSM. Sanitary napkin backsheet typically uses 18–25 GSM. Heavier GSM (25–40) for incontinence and industrial applications. Custom GSM available on minimum 1,000 kg order.
Can you supply printed breathable PE film?
Yes — flexographic printing in up to 5–6 colours is available. We can print brand logos, baby patterns, floral designs and plain colour on PE breathable film. Micro and deep embossing patterns also available. Minimum order for printed film is 1,000 kg.
