Heat Sealable Nonwoven Fabric
Manufacturer India
PE/PP bico spunbond nonwoven fabric that seals cleanly on bar seal, ultrasonic, and impulse machines at 130C. No adhesives. No deformation. Available 20-80 GSM with custom width.
What Is Heat Sealable Nonwoven Fabric?
Heat sealable nonwoven fabric is a nonwoven material that can be bonded to itself or another layer using heat and pressure alone, without any adhesive. The sealing happens when the outer surface of the fabric melts slightly and fuses with the adjacent layer, forming an airtight, strong bond.
The most widely used heat sealable nonwoven is PE/PP bicomponent spunbond. The PE sheath melts at ~130C while the PP core stays solid at ~160C. This 30C gap creates a forgiving sealing window that works reliably across bar seal, ultrasonic, and impulse sealing machines.
This fabric is used wherever you need a fast, clean, adhesive-free seal in production. The primary applications are desiccant pouches, hygiene product covers, and filtration bags. See our full desiccant fabric range at silica gel packaging material.
Compatible with 3 Sealing Machine Types
Our heat sealable nonwoven works on every standard production sealing machine. No machine upgrades required.
Heated metal bar presses directly onto the fabric at 130-150C. Simple, fast, and reliable. Used in most desiccant pouch production lines. Compatible with all standard bar widths.
High-frequency vibration generates friction heat at the fabric interface. PE sheath melts and bonds without external heat contact. Produces the cleanest seal with no burn risk. Ideal for food and pharma grade pouches.
Electric impulse heats a nichrome wire element briefly. Fabric cools under pressure to form a strong bond. Good temperature control makes it suitable for thinner GSM fabrics and precise sealing requirements.
